Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
If I choose a military role, am I supposed to show up in full plate armour?
Answer:
No. There might be a ton of reasons for you to not wear full plate armour. You’re not on the battlefield. You’re here at the negotiating table. Still: If you want to wear it, no one is going to stop you!
Question:
Since there’s no focus on battle, can I then bring my real swords to show them off?
Answer:
No. We’re close to the war, and we want people to have the freedom to grab a nearby weapon for threats and do something with it. So bring nice looking latex/foam weapons. If you bring weapons, that is. Most won’t. It would not necessarily inspire trust in the other people present to carry weapons everywhere.
Question:
I played Spoils of War before. Is it the same larp?
Answer:
There will be some changes of the design, but the characters and the basic structure of the game will be the same as before. But Spoils of War has moved location. This alone will make the larp feel different.
We will be on an island with a forest which means you can swin in the surrounding lake. The location is a big cabin instead of a castle so there will be some design elements that will be different.
The food will be cooked by volunteers and you will sleep in bunk beds (regular and sponsor tickets) or in tents (subsidized tickets).
